To VIEW the time on a Cisco switch via the Cisco IOS CLI simply type in "show clock":
SWITCH-A#show clock

To SET the time on a Cisco switch, make sure you are in priveleged EXEC mode and then enter the command as follows:
Switch-A#clock set 20:09:01 3 Apr 2003
